National Gas Prices See Slight Rise But Remain Cheaper Than A Year Ago

Over the past week, due to rising demand for gas and increased oil costs, gas prices across the country have taken a slight rise. On April 4, the average price per gallon of gas in the US was $3.507 just a few cents higher than prices a week ago. Despite this rise, the average price per gallon today is still over 70 cents per gallon cheaper than prices a year ago. 

Here in Wisconsin, the average price per gallon of gas is $3.322, about 10 cents per gallon more expensive than last week. Despite this rise, the 50 cents per gallon is less expensive than last year.
