Milwaukee Home Prices Rise, But Remain Below National Prices


In November 2023, home prices in the United States increased 3.4 percent compared to last year to a median price of $413,504, according to Redfin. However, the number of homes sold has decreased to 401,451 compared to last year’s 439,115 sales, an 8.6 percent decrease. 

Milwaukee’s home prices increased by 7.6 percent compared to last year, reaching a median selling price of $199,000. The number of homes sold also increased, unlike the country as a whole. 592 homes were sold in Milwaukee in November of this year, a 12.5 percent increase from the 526 homes sold in November of last year.

Wisconsin bill would limit local control over animal welfare

A Republican bill would bar local governments from implementing stricter rules than the state already imposes regarding animal welfare, the administration of medications and vaccinations and how animals are used at or after they leave a farm or facility.
