On June 12, 2022, Wisconsin recorded the highest average gas prices in state history with an average price per gallon of $4.923. On September 8, the recorded average price per gallon was down significantly at $3.536.

The Milwaukee-Waukesha metro market mirrored this trend as gas prices have dropped about $1.50 from $5.184 earlier this summer to $3.684 today.

If the trend continues, Wisconsinites can expect to see additional gas price decreases in the coming weeks.
